I created these pieces by expanding and mutating material from the score I wrote for the short film 'Generation' (directed by Riccardo Fusetti - A brief journey through the human experience as seen by the eyes of an Artificial Intelligence.
When I was first approached to score the original short film and I was sent the storyboard, ideas were just coming out and suggestions of things to be expanded and introduced. Most of that material didn’t obviously make it to the 2:30 minutes long short film, so I thought of shaping that into an actual record and condensing it into an EP.
It’s a high contrast record where I wanted to explore a brief journey-like narrative, through generation and mutation of recurring materials.
